More Swap Cards....

I had a swap to finish, a Mother's Day Card for my Yahoo group. This is the result. Quick and easy, but tons of detail! It is a white card base, black layer , then another white layer that is punched with an border punch from The Paper Studio, and finally a layer of BRIGHT pink that is Cuttlebugged. Computer generated the saying on white and layered that again with black. Added the primas and ribbon, and voila~
I LOVE this layout...I got it from Clean & Simple.
They have some of the neatest Sketches...they call them "Fall To" sketches. Check them out!!
Sorry this is a short one, but I need my shower before bed! Have a terrific Tuesday, and I hope to see you tomorrow! Thanks for stopping by to say hello!!

My 115th post...Oh goodness!!

Wow, this has gone FAST~~ I never realized until just now when I went onto my Dashboard and saw this will be #115!! I have TOTALLY enjoyed blogging, and hope to get to do it for a long time!! I have a Blogaversary coming up soon, and will do a FUN SUMMER BLOG CANDY!! I have so much fun visiting everyone, and even more fun when you all visit me!! Your lovely comments just make my day!! Ok, enough hooie....
This is a Mother's Day Card I have made for one of my Grandmas. I used the Sketch Saturday Sketch #48, and love how it turned out.
We had an overcast day today, so this isn't as vibrant in the picture as it is IRL. I used a base of Old Olive. The image is from SU Beautiful Blossoms, and is colored with watercolor crayons and shimmer paints. I used a couple of layers cut with my MS Edge Punch, and bronze ribbon for the layers. I thought something was needed in the corners, so I made the corner decorations with the punch, as well, so it would all co-ordinate. The 2 maroon cardstocks are from my stash, and the Bronze I made with Glimmer paints. I am thrilled, and I think it is a classy look for Grandma.
I actually did a couple more Mother's Day cards for a swap today, but will have to post those tomorrow. It is past my bedtime...5:30 a.m. comes too darned early!! I hope everyone had a FABBY weekend, even if it was TOO SHORT!! Have a great Monday and thanks for stopping by!

A Couple of Anyas

Happy Saturday!! Not a real productive day here, creativity wise at least, but I did get a couple of cute Anyas colored and made into cards. The first one is Princess Anya...isn't she cute? I colored her with watercolor crayons ( I wish I could get the effect with markers, but I just can't get the hang of it!) . I cut her out and mounted her onto a sheet of PP from the DCWV Blossoms & Butterflies Stack. YUP that is ONE layer!! I added some little gems to the flower centers, and on her crown, along with glitter on the crown and wand. I didn't add the sentiment, as I am not sure if I want her for a birthday, congrats, or maybe a thinking of you card. Guess I will decide when the time comes.
This next card is Teacher Anya. She is a little cutie-patootie, too, and I love her big red apple! Again, I colored her with Watercolor Crayons and my AquaBrush. I LOVE to do Anya's hair... you can really create some neat shading! I started with a turquoise base card, added a black layer that I used my Fiskars Border Punch on, then the PP, which is MME Magnolia, also punched. Layered it all together and mounted Anya on a die that a friend had sent me and did the sentiment in white ( kinda like a blackboard) and embossed it. Added the black brads to finish it off....Sorry this one is scanned....it was evening when I finished it. I will try to get a good pic in the daylight tomorrow!
I hope everyone has a Beautiful Sunday! I will see you tomorrow....Thanks so much for stopping by!

Just Playing...

With my new SU set, Cheep Talk. Gotta love the little bird!! I stamped him and glittered him, then cut him out and mounted on dimentionals. The Branch was stamped and then glittered on the leaves. The PP is from DCWV Blossoms and Butterflies Stack. There are some adorable PP in this stack...I need to dig into it deeper!! Simple grossgrain ribbon thru an "S" clip makes a pretty little finishing touch. I used my Fiskars Border Punch for the scallops, then mounted everything on plain old white. This is one I will send to my Mom...she likes little cards she so can send HELLO's to her friends. I think this would be good for either a man or woman, so I bet she will be happy with it!

Well, attempt #2 at the STOP SMOKING QUEST!! LOL I have been smoke free for 1 day...YAY! Even though I am TOTALLY jonesing, I will NOT go get smokes!! Tomorrow will prove interesting, to say the least. Thanks to everyone who stops by and says Hi!! My counter is getting up there, so I see a BLOG CANDY in the near future!! Since I have won the mother load this past week, I need to share!! I will continue to pick little things up here and there, and when I get back from Iowa ( I am going home for my Daddy's Retirement Party on June 6) we will celebrate!!

I hope everyone has a FABBY FRIDAY!! See you all tomorrow!

Tuesday Afternoon....

Are you singing too? LOL Well, I got a few things done today on my day off, even though I wasn't feeling the greatest. These 2 are clean and simple cards...which have become my faves to make lately! They are instant gratification, I guess. I used the SU SAB set Botanical Blooms. Done simply on White base card with Black StazOn and watercolored. I wanted to make them a bit different, so I changed colors, sentiments, and pierced one...without ribbon...LOL! They were fun...sorry for the poor pictures, it is late!
I am headed to bed...gonna work in the morning! Have a wonderful Day!!

Sorry I Have Been Away SOOO Long....

It has been a weird week!! I haven't even touched rubber to ink since last weekend and I am going through withdrawls!! Today I got to play a little...I got a couple of swap cards made...
This gorgeous tree is part of a SU set called Thoughts and Prayers. I used my markers on it to get the leaves green and trunk and branches brown...it works wonderfully! The PP is some from my stash I got at Hobby Lobby. I ran the maroon through the good ol' Cuttlebug, and used nesties to cut the circles. Pretty quick little card once I figured out what I wanted to do...LOL!
I have some cards I WANT to make tomorrow, so I WILL be back...that is a promise and a threat....LOL! Have a Wonderful night, and thanks for stopping in!

Happy Easter!!

I hope everyone is having a FABULOUS Easter Sunday!! Today I have a Mother's Day card to show you...LOL! I just LOVE this Flutterby set by TAC!! You can plan on seeing many more cards using this beauty!
This card was meant to go in a totally different direction! Have you ever done that? Started with a sketch and chucked it because it just wasn't working?? Oh well, I am happy with it!
I watercolored the Butterfly using my pencils and aquabrush..I love the softness it gives! The layers are all pretty self-explanitory and the sentiment is computer generated. I got the pretty little purple pearls in the corner from my friend Cindy, and they match perfectly. The PP is from my stash...old stash! I have been trying to use some of the older PP I have been hoarding, because I can't seem to stop buying new...hehehe.
Today I have to get the potatoe salad made, so I dunno if I will get anything made with paper and rubber. I hope so! I hope everyone has a very Blessed Happy Easter!!

Gorgeous Saturday!

It is sunny and bright out there today...YAY!! Hopefully, we will have a Glorious Easter Sunday! Today I had a couple swap cards to make, so I went to the Clean & Simple Blog to check out this weeks FTS. I really liked it, so this is the card I made. Simple White for the base card, a layer of black that I used a Martha Stewart Border Punch on, then Cuttlebugged another white layer. Used SU Mini Dies to cut the flower leaves, stamped and matted the sentiment, and finished it off. Simple, but pretty.
I have another in the works, so I might get back later. If not, I would like to wish everyone a Blessed Easter!!

Feeling Better....

I was feeling MUCH better yesterday afternoon, so I played along with the Mojo Monday Challenge. I needed cards for a Birds Of A Feather Swap that had to go out right away, so that is why I used the little bird from Snag'em Stamps. The PP is an old SU package. I love 2 sided PP, you can just flip it and have a perfect match!! The sentiment is computer generated. The Primas were from my stash... I matted everything with black to make it POP! Love my black...can you tell? hehehe
Nothing complicated...and I love this sketch, so look for another card using it later today!!
I am at work....YAY....so I will see you all later! Have a terrific Tuesday!!

It's Monday....

I managed to get a card done this weekend while the kids were here!! Actually, I made 3 like this for a swap. Very easy...the little Bunny is from Hobby Lobby and made by Rubber Stampede. I used a light blue to outline his face, ears, and paws, then colored in his ears and nose. Mounted the trio on pale lavendar and a purple CB panel. Then used dimentionals to mount it all on a pale lavendar card base. The sentiment is by Hero Arts and flanked with bright pink flat-back pearls from Clear Dollar Stamps. Fast and easy....
I am home with the flu today...NOT FUN! I hope to feel better later so I can do some stamping! I hope you all have a wonderful Monday, and will be back later!!

2 for a Cause

I was blog hopping ( what else is new?) and last week found at Jen Tepler's Blog that she is giving away blog candy for a cause! Please be sure to hop over there and check it out!! She is going to donate cards made by bloggers around the world to the Alzheimer's Association. This is a cause close to MANY people's hearts, and mine is included. Thus, these cards are going to Jen...
I was thrilled to get to create lastnight...I actually got 3 cards made lastnight!! I have been wanting to do a couple of pretty cards for the Alzheimer's Assoc. since seeing Jen's Blog, and FINALLY got them done! hehehehe They are pretty self-explanatory, I guess.
I need to make dinner....I am exhausted from work this week, so it will be a LAZY evening in the Temple household!! I hope to be back later to show you the other card I made lastnight....
