More Christmas

I needed a few quicky Christmas cards, for the last minute, and this was one I did. My friend, Cindy, and I wanted to do a challenge together and we picked the sketch on Just Add Ink.
When I saw the sketch, I knew I had to use this tree...I have loved this set for AGES, and finally got it, but hadn't used the tree yet. One of my FAVE color combos, year round actually, is Brown and Blue, and these just meshed so perfectly!
This card also qualifies for a few more challenges:

All Sorts - Anything Goes
Sweet Stampin' - Celebrations
Corrosive - Non-Traditional Christmas Colors
Stamptacular - TREEmendous

I only have 2 more last minute cards to make, so I am off....
Have a WONDERFUL Christmas Week! Thank you for stopping by!

Fa La La Time

I have been having SO MUCH FUN making Christmas cards the past few days! I might actually get them all done in time to mail them out...LOL!This one is made using an OLD Stampin' Up set called Song In Your Heart. I think it is one of the first Christmas sets I got from SU, because I LOVE Christmas music! This little trio is colored with watercolor pencils and the aqua painter. I won some gorgeous DP from my SU Demo, so I got to use some it, and finished it off with some stickles for that little bit of sparkle. I used this weeks Sweet Stop Challenge Sketch, which was perfect for the size of my stamp. There are a couple of other Challenges out there that this card fits into. Winter Wonderland, where the theme is Sing a Christmas Carol. Another of my favorites, Paper Sundaes, has a Let it Snow challenge. And finally, Aly's Sunday Challenge, which has a theme of Music.

The Little Tilda Christmas card was made last week for a sketch challenge...sorry don't remember which one. She was also colored with Watercolor pencils and Stickles. I LOVE the DP, it is from The Linen Closet Stack by Die Cuts With A View. The entire stack is just so yummy! The Flowers are from The Wild Orchid...I have fallen in LOVE, and will HAVE to have more of them~

Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a TERRIFIC Tuesday! Have FUN and be sure to CREATE today!

Blue Christmas

Well, again I have been inspired by my good friend, Cindy! I saw this gorgeous beaded snowflake on her blog a while back, and I HAD to make some! This was the second of 3, but when it came time to make a card with it, it was the first I used. I found the PERFECT colors of CS and DP, and then the sketch at Stamp Something.
Lastnight, while going through the Daily Dare and checking chellenges from the weekend, I have found numerous other challenges this card fits into. I love it when I make something, THEN the challenges come out...LOL. So I will enter my Beaded Snowflake into the following:

Daring Cardmakers - Topaz ( I chose Blue )
Crazy 4 Challenges - Square Card
Crafty Calendar Monthly - Winter Snowflakes
Crafty Cardmakers - Dry Embossing
C.R.A.F.T. Challenge - Dry Embossing
One Stitch at a Time - Winter Wonderland

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a GREAT week...and get creative!

Poinsetta Time

I have been DYING to try this Poinsetta Digi I got earlier this year at McMahon Five Designs.
I printed out a couple different sizes and did some watercoloring. This is the first of the two using the larger stamp. I thought the sketch at Truly Scrumptious was perfect for this image, so I went with it! It also works for the Petals part of the option....
I just LOVE the Petals A Plenty embossing folder from Stampin' Up. Doesn't it work so perfectly with the flower?
This card also fits into a couple of other Challenges out there this week:
Paper Pretties - Square Card
Stamp Something - Use PINK

I think this sketch is going into my "use it again" file. Yup, easy and I like it~

My second card was made using the same Digi Poinsetta, but sized smaller before printing. My friend, Cindy, did a poinsetta card a while back and I LOVED the layout, so I CASEd her card basically....

This one fits several challenges out there this week:
Papertake Weekly - Sparkly and Bright
ABC - Glitter
Inktegrity - Anything Goes
Craft Your Passion - Anything Goes
Bee Crafty - Christmas Digi

This one is my favorite because of the glitter....

Well, thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you all have a WONDERFUL week!

Being Witchy....

Obviously, I have been digging out my old Halloween stamps and here is another! I love this old gal! Again, I have used my favorite watercolor pencils to color her...ain't she purty?
I made this card for the Sketch Challenge at Stamping 411. As I looked around, I found a few others she qualifies for as well, so will enter her into these too:

Corrosive - Halloween
Paper Playtime - Halloween
Totally Stampalicious - Purple, Green and Black
Dutch Dare - Halloween

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a Wonderful Wednesday!

Yellow Zebra Wedding...

It has been an EVENTFUL weekend here in NW Arkansas! Saturday I got to go down to The University Of The Ozarks for Family Fiesta Weekend with my wonderful daughter! The weather was perfect, and the visit was just what Momma needed to see her baby girl in her element! Shelli LOVES it there, and I can see why. I feel MUCH better now that I have had a wonderful visit and tour of the school, as well as all the fun activities that the students and faculty worked so hard on to entertain their families! KUDOS Uof O~~
Last evening, I attended the wedding of one of my dear friend's sons'. It was so simply beautiful....
Their colors were Black, White and Yellow...thus the card! I took the colors from her invitation which was yellow with a border of black and white Zebra print and black lettering.
Very Cool! Her flowers were daisies and the wedding was held outdoors in a magnificent Ozark Mountains location. I wrapped her gift in the same color combo as you can really did look neat on the gift table.
The Wedding as I said was very pretty, and the reception afterwards was a much fun...UNTIL! We were dancing and having a fabby time, and clutsy Julie fell wrong on my right foot and got a BIG BOO BOO! I have torn my Achilles Tendon and also broken some of the bone on my heel along with it! Yeah, isn't that special? The Emergency Room doctor has referred me to an Orthopedic Surgeon, and I see him tomorrow. I will have to have it surgically repaired, and it will be 3 to 6 months before I am back on it. ARRGHHHH! So....I will have TONS of time to make my Christmas cards this year....heck of a way to get those done, eh? LOL
Anyway, thank you all for stopping by today! I hope you all have a WONDERFUL week....

World Cardmaking Day

Well, it is a beautiful day here in NW Arkansas, and I actually got to participate in World Cardmaking Day! I have been slowly...emphesis on SLOW...making my Christmas cards, so I dont't have to cram them all in in the last week! This is one I have done with my new Dasher stamp from SU. I LOVE non-traditional colored Christmas cards, so needless to say, I love this one.
After finishing, I realized this card fits a few of weekly challenges out there. Here they are:
Charisma - Christmas
Paper Pretties - Animal/ Animal Print
DCD Christmas Club - Glitter, Ribbon, and Gems

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a Blessed Sunday!

This little ditty was made today at the last minute for the Christmas Card Challenge which was to make a Clean & Simple Card. It works as well for a couple other challenges this week, too.
Crafty Cardmakers also challenged a Clean & Simple card, and Winter Wonderland challenged a Single Layer Card! Those who know me KNOW single layer is SO not me...LOL!
I will have more later....just wanted to get this posted before it ended. Have a great Saturday!

Mojo on Friday

I have been wanting to do the Mojo Monday Sketch this week, so here it is! This one was FUN, I love to do layers, so it fit in perfectly with my fave style. This card also fits into a few other Challenges this week. Pile it on-which is to use um! Paper Sundaes put out the challenge to use different mediums. Well, I have used markers, EP and watercolors on the butterfly, then glittered it, and good old ink on the leaf and sentiment. Today at Paper Cutz, the challenge is to use a tag...voila! And lastly, the Belli Challange issued a challenge to use OLD stamps sets we love! Well, I have used my ever favorite Butterfly by The Angel Company, and the leaf is by Stampin' Up....Both sets are at least 3 years old!
I hope everyone is having a great week....all I can say is TGIF! I am home sick today...rotten flu! Have a wonderful weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!

Back to School...

Which is exactly where I have been the past couple of weeks! I LOVE summer break, but have to admit I was getting bored. NOW I can't wait for Christmas break...LOL!
I have been doing a lot of "working" at making cards the past couple weeks, but haven't actually gotten one DONE 'til today! This one was made for the Sketch Saturday Challenge. The other night, my friend Cindy and I bought a few new Digi's, so this one was PERFECT for all the Back To School challenges out there this week , too! These would include : Fussy & Fancy, Stamp Something, and Paper Pretties.
I hope you have a great week...back to school again tomorrow...
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Thinking Of You...

This was originally going to be a sketch challenge, BUT ended up just being a card for a friend. I love the DP from My Mind's Eye, so the card was kinda built around it. The greyish-blue is such a gorgeous color....I have noticed several of my cards recently are blue. Guess I need to break out another color family...LOL!
My friend Cindy told me this card qualifies for a couple of challenges this week, which are BOTH Tree-mendous! Those would be the challenges at Cute Card Thursday and Daring Cardmakers. Please stop by and check them both out!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I start back to work tomorrow....yes, summer is offically over when the kid's and lunch ladies go back to school...LOL! Have a FABBY week, and see you SOON!

Get Well Sweetie

I saw the sketch at Sweet Sunday Sketch, I had to do one! I had Miss Tilda already colored, and wanted to use her. I went with cute and simple, and it just seemed to work. This is just done with layers and the good ol' Cuttlebug! I dunno if I moved when I took this picture, but the card isn't warped as it appears.

Thanks so much for stopping by! I will be back soon with more....

Pink for Us Girls

HAPPY MONDAY!! This is my last week of Summer...we go back to school next week! Well, my dear friend, Cindy, is at it out the challenges. Yesterday she chose this great sketch from Just Us Girls. Little did she know, I already had it on my list of things to do.... This is a super versatile sketch, and I have another card in the works using it!
I wish you could see it more clearly, but this entire card is sprayed with Shimmer Mist. We are a bit overcast today ( even though the predict 101 degrees) so the shimmer isn't especially noticeable. Don't ya just love non-traditional colored Christmas cards...I do! Anyway, I hope everyone has a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!

Time for School!

I had this sweet little Anya all ready to be used, so when I saw the 411 Sketch Challenge this week, I KNEW what I was going to do with her! We start school around here in a little over a week, so perfect timing, eh? I love this sketch, and the simplicity of this card...Love when that happens. This card also falls into a few other challenges that are open this week.

Some Monday Mojo

Yup, I am back again today...GASP! I am truly trying to get back into blogging on a regular basis, because I really DO love it!
This little ditty is my submission for today's Mojo Monday Challenge. I really enjoyed this one...and I can't believe I didn't stamp AT ALL!!
This is done all with DP from the DCWV Linen Closet Stack. I wanted to use the flowers in the 3rd layer SO BAD, but was having trouble finding a stamped image I liked with it, so I punched a circle from it and made it the focal point! It is hard to see in the picture, but the large flower and leaves are popped up for a little 3D look.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! See you again, tomorrow~

Here comes Christmas....

Happy last day of July! Yes I have been away from the blogging world a long time...but I hope I am back now for a while. I have missed it, and am anxious to get back into the groove of posting. I have been doing a little creating while I was gone, but have recently gotten back into doing something daily...YAY! And a BIG Thank You and I Love You to my dear friend Cindy! She has been there ALL the way with me!

This card I made for a couple of Challenges...yes, I still LOVE challenges...LOL! The first is the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge which is Christmas In July. The other blog with a Christmas In July Challenge is Stamp Something.
I have a few other Christmas cards I have made, so I will post those tomorrow or somthing. Guess I am getting in the spirit? hehehe.

Farewell to May....

I have been a terrible blogger ALL YEAR! I sincerly do apologize, and have no excuse for my disappearance. You all know I lost my Mom in January, and quite honestly, I have had LITTLE TO NO drive to create since. My wonderful friend, Cindy, has been really encouraging me to get back into the cardmaking, and with her love and gentle prodding ( hahaha) I have been creating some!
Thie first card is one I made using one of my favorite cupcake stamps made by Inkadinkado. I used my fave DP from SU, and it all just fell together wonderfully. I gave this one to one of the little girls at my school, and she was SO PROUD that Miss Julie had made it just for her. She showed the entire school...LOL! Needless to say, every child in the school has told me when their birthday is...I have a mile long list, and MANY birthday cards to create. Guess the little ones appreciate handmade things - how cool is that?
This next card is one I made with one of my FAVORITE new SU sets called Vintage Vogue. I never thought that I would like something called VINTAGE anything, but this set is beautiful and SO versatile!! I have made several cards with this set, some of which I have no pictures, but many that I do, so you will see those sometime, I promise. I used Melon Mambo, Pretty in Pink and Old Olive. It is simple yet elegant...
Well, this is it for now. I hope to be back very soon with more creations. I think I will go check out the challenges for this week. Have a Wonderful week~

A Little Mojo on Saturday~

I am TOTALLY CRAZY for this DP from SU called Cottage Wall! I have seen my friend, Cindy, using it, and HAD to have some. It worked so perfectly for this weeks Mojo Monday Sketch! It all looks so pretty together. As you can see, I set it on it side to accomodate the sentiment I chose to use. This is from an OLD SU set. I figured that it could be used for just about any type of card, Mother's Day, Birthday, Thank You.....
Sure felt good to create today! I have a Father's Day card to show you later that I made earlier this week. Have a great Saturday!

Happy Monday! Well, today is the first day of Spring Break...hope the snow melts. Today I decided to get some challenges in. Rosie D's Challenge - Use Green, Yellow & White
All Sorts - Spring
CraftyCatz - Spring
I will be back tomorrow with MORE challenges! At least they get me creating - that and some prodding from Cindy...LOL! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Something Springy...while it snows...

Yup, it is snowing here in NW Arkansas! And, yes, it is the first day of Spring...LOL!
Tonight, I thought I would make a card for some challenges...and WOW, did this one hit several of them!
I started with the Friday Sketchers sketch, which I really think is COOL! I do like my layers...
The little bunny and birdy is a digi-stamp from The DigiStamp Boutique called Easter Bunny. I just think he is TOO CUTE, and got the entire set as it is on sale this month.
As I mentioned earlier, this card works for SEVERAL challenges this week, so here goes:
Paper Sundaes - Easter or Spring
Rosie and Dee's - Think Spring
Dare U 2 Digi - No Patterned Paper
This is just the first of my Easter cards. I have the next week off for Spring Break and am looking forward to making several more! I hope everyone is having a great weekend...without snow! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Lavendar Tilda

I needed a Birthday card, so this is the result. I had the little Tilda already colored, so I just needed to make her into a card. I got out my new punch from SU...I have been dying to use it...and started. This card qualifies for a few challenges this week, so I took it from there.
Kaboodle Doodles - Birthday Card
Ooh La La - Anything Goes
I hope you have all had a wonderful weekend. I haven't accomplished much of what I hoped to, but I guess, that is OK as I feel all rested up and ready for the week ahead. Have a wonderful Monday, and thank you for stopping by!

A Couple Just Because

Yesterday, my friend, Cindy, and I were just gabbing and creating. She found the cutest card on a blog..sorry, don't remember where, so we thought it would be FUN to case the card. This is the result. I used my new SU set, Trendy Trees. Oy, I need to practice my 2 step stamping...LOL!
Today we are taking a bit of a break to watch the Olympics.... particularly the U.S.A. vs. Canada Hockey game. Cin is a MAJOR hockey fan, and Canadian, and I love to watch a good hocky game, and American! Needless to say, this will be a good FUN game for us to watch. Hey, at least the Gold and Silver will BOTH be in North America, right?

Anyhoo, another little "project" we played with yesterday, was to make "Puffy Flowers". HERE is the link. I have seen these little cuties all over Blogland, and wanted to do them for a while, so Cindy sent me the link and said get on it...LOL! She made some, too, and I hope she will post her card made with it as well. ( As soon as I finished this post, I checked Cindy's Blog and her card is there...check it out HERE. )For mine I used newspaper...3 small and 7 large scallopped circles. SO EASY to make...if you like the look of them, DO give them a try!
Well, I am headed back to the game, and to make some some cards with images I have had colored for a while. I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! Thanks SO MUCH for stopping by!

Sunny Get Well

Well, I had a vision in my head lastnight after cruising the weekly challenges at The Daily Dare,
so I was up 'til 3 am finishing this one. LOL!
I was inspired by the challenge at Paper Make- Up. Such a pretty picture with flowers and butterflies, this stamp came to mind immediately. I decided to add a few other challenges in there as well...yes I LOVE to do challenges, they get my motivated when I have NO motivation. The other challenges used in this card are:
Daring Card Makers - Here comes the Sun
Creative Card Crew - Get Well Soon
Pile It On - Get Well Card
I hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday! Thanks so much for stopping by!

Happy Friday! I actually got 2 cards made tonight, so YAY!! This first is one I have been wanting to do. I LOVE this butterfly, and have never done it in blue, so that was the plan...mission accomplished!

Along with the sketch, there are several other Challenges it qualifies for as well.
Paper Sundaes - Distressing
Belli Challenge - Butterflies or Dragonflies
I hope you all like this semi-monochromatic card as I really enjoyed making it!

The second card I made was one done for the Pink Elephant sketch. I used an adorable Digi Stamp by Dustin Pike...isn't he just too cute? Again, this card also falls into a few of the weekly challenges.

I Love Digi - A digi and Pink
Twisted Thursdays - Birthday card and use Pink
Charisma Cards - Birthday Card with a Candle
My niece has a birthday soon, so this will be perfect for her. Have a FABBY weekend, and I will see you tomorrow with something new! Thanks for stopping by!

I know it seems as though I have been away sure feels like it! I hope to get back into the groove of things. It was a toughie when Mom passed, but life and crafting MUST go on. My dear friend, Cindy, has been trying to get me inspired and get the Mojo flowing again, and it is working! Bless your heart, Kiddo!!
This card is one I made for the Just Magnolia Challenge this week, which was the sketch and Stamp Something which was to create something Springy...I think this looks like Spring. Lastly would be Totally Gorjuss which was to use flowers...think I have a few of those...LOL!
This was FUN and I got to play with my flowers and pearls. And of course, my beloved watercolors...LOL! Thanks so much for stopping by, and have a great tomorrow!

This card works for a couple of challenges, as well as being cute! The first is the Stamping 411 Challenge which was to use the sketch. Next was one of my Fave challenge spots- Dare U 2 Digi Stamp. Back to Posting...

My last post was HAPPY NEW YEAR!....well, so far, not for me. I lost my beloved Mother on Jan. 14th. She was hospitalized on Jan. 5th and never came home. As many know, she has been suffering for over 4 years with severe emphezema. She has now gone home into the arms of God, and no longer fights for her next breath. I miss her horribly-that is the selfish me, but the daughter who loves her is happy she no longer has to suffer here on earth.
This card was made as a special Thank You for some friends who showed so much love and compassion in the past few weeks.
I hope to get some more made this week, and will share here on my blog. Thanks so much for stopping by...

Sunday, January 3, 2010

I hope you all had a WONDERFUL New Year's Eve! I just stayed home and stayed safe....went to dinner and that was about it...LOL!
I apologize for no creativity over the past month! I thought I would get TONS accomplished over Christmas Vaca from school, but OY was I wrong! I had a bit of a spill off a chair FLAT on my tailbone, and haven't done much of anything since! Making Christmas dinner was VERY interesting, to say the least! I know this sounds bad, but if it weren't for Darvocet, I would NEVER have made it thru the past couple of weeks. I dunno what it will be like tomorrow when I go back to work, but it will be a challenge, I am SURE!
ANYHOW.... This card was made a couple nights ago. My dear friend, Cindy, in an effort to get me creating, put out a challenge to me....pick a challenge off Daily Dare, and DO IT! She did it too...check out her blog! I chose the sketch at Papertake Weekly. I used a new stamp from All That Scraps named Sweet Nikki. She is colored with Prisma Watercolor Pencils, and then lightly blended with an AquaBrush. I used PP from my Basic Grey Lemonade Pack. I just love this paper, and have been hoarding it...hehehehe. Finished her off with a SU sentiment and some pink bling. It felt great to make something....
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL week...I hope to see you again SOON! Thanks for stopping by!
