Some Silhouette Cards

I put my Silhouette to work yesterday, and did ALOT of cutting. I learned first hand that this little machine can get overheated...LOL!
This first card is one I did to send my Ex as a sympathy card. His brother, and best friend, passed away last Saturday. Since we ( my ex and I ) are friends, I want him to know I am thinking of him at his time of loss! I thought the birds in brown and blue was very masculine looking. I got the cut file free at MamasLegacy. She has some GORGEOUS cut files in various formats, so if you have a cutter, be sure to check her out!!
This second card I made with my Grandmother in mind. My daughter and I are leaving for Iowa ( HOME) on Thursday morning, and Friday will be my Grandma's 88th Birthday. I wanted something pretty and summery for her card, and I think this one fits the bill. The butterfly frame was cut and layered, and the center piece was done on the CuttleBug and watercolored. I cut 2 of this frame at the same time to save paper, and WOW, did the poor machine get overheated! I love that it knows when to take a break, though, so it doesn't get burned out.
I have some more goodies in the works today. My friend, Cindy, has talked me into another DT try out, so today I have to create a card for that. I hope everyone has a BEAUTIFUL SUNDAY! It is sunny and warm here today in NW Arkansas, so I hope you are all having the same weather where you are!! Enjoy your day~

A Hoppin' Saturday!

Oh I got alot accomplished today!! I did ALOT of cards with the Silhouette, and I will show you those at a later time. I also did this little ditty...isn't she cute? She is made with a Digi Stamp from Nutcrafters Designs that was a freebie for cardmakers to use to enter their design team call. All you have to do is go to the Nutshells Blog, and see all the details. There will be a release of some ADORABLE new digistamps!! Also be sure to enter to win their FABBY BLOG CANDY!!
This was such a fun little card to make....I started with the sketch provided at the blogsite...it is really neat! Got some PP together...they are by My Minds Eye, and just went to town. I colored the image with watercolor pencils and the aqua painter for a soft look. Used some pink flatback pearls around her neck to dress her up. Layered the flowers, and then finished with the sentiment from Clear Dollar Stamps, and larger flatback pearls.
Well, it is 1:24 a.m. here and I am BEAT!! I will be back later today to show you some of the cool cards I have created using my Silhouette!! Have FABBY SUNDAY!!

All of these designs, other than the trees, were included with the machine...I feel like I have TOTALLY SCORED! This little gadget is WONDERFUL!

Happy Memorial Day!

I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday!! It is an overcast day here in NW Arkansas, but it doesn't stop the celebrations honoring our country's Heroes!!
I got to do some stamping today, and made some swap cards that need to go out. This one is for a sketch swap on my Yahoo Group.
I used my Charlie Daisy set from Clear Dollar Stamps, and stamped him in black StazOn then watercolored him. I did a sponged on sky in the background. The rest of the card was simple...just the layers and a flower. The leaves are from SU Sizzix Little Leaves Die, and I just cut a couple off the spray to use with the prima. I love the look...
I am off to make a Lasagna for dinner, as I have been craving it!! I hope you all have a wonder rest of the day! Thanks so stopping by, and I hope to have another card for you later today!

This is an image I got LONG AGO from PC Crafter...isn't it neat how the US is in the flag? Anyway, just wanted to share this...have a FABBY evening, and I will see you tomorrow! Again, thanks for visiting!

YAY I got to PLAY!

Good Morning!! I have a long weekend, with Memorial Day, so I got some rest, and volia-I got to stamp!! I have had my new 5th Ave Floral set ALL week, and yesterday was the first I inked it up!! I wanted to make a special card for a swap, since one of my partners is my good friend, Cindy. I HAD to be different and use the Lilly stamp instead of the rose, and I am so glad I did! I stamped them on whisper white with violet and cut them out. Sponged them with lilac and Yo-Yo Yellow. The stamens are watercolored with metallic gold, but you can't see it very well in the picture. I used the SU Leaves Die and layered them behind the flowers and then onto the ovals. The ovals are stamped with a flourish and sponged again with Yo-Yo Yellow....can ya tell I like my yellow? Stamped the sentiment and finished it off with the Photo Corners. I hope the girls like them!
I have a day of creating planned, so I should be back later with a couple more things ( crossing my fingers, as I am SLOW) Have a WONDERFUL Sunday and thanks for stopping by!

Happy Hump Day!

Good Morning!! I haven't been creating the past few days, tired and busy, BUT I did manage a couple of swap cards!! This is a layout from Clean & Simple Stamping. I saw this a week or so ago and just fell in love, so when I needed a butterfly swap card, this came right to mind! It uses my Favorite Martha Stewart Butterfly Punch, half-back mini pearls, and a Clear Dollar Stamps sentiment. Easy Peasy!
I am headed to work, so I am gonna cut this short. I hope to get back tonight with something new...I miss my rubber and ink! Have a wonderful day, and thanks for stopping by!

Good Morning, Saturday!

I have been a BAD BLOGGER! Sorry I have been away most of the week! Here is a little Thank You card...this is what will be keeping me busy this weekend, as I am making 25 for an order. Last weekend, I attended a Quinceanera for the daughter of one of my co-workers...it was BEAUTIFUL! Just like a wedding, but a 15th Birthday!! Maria asked me if I would make 25 special Thank You's for her to send everyone that helped out with the party. This is what I came up with. Her colors were obviously Lime Green and Orange, so that is why I chose these colors. Mariola LOVES Butterflies, so I got out my trusty set from TAC as a starting point. Since it is so dreary here today, I scanned the pic in rather than used the camera...the card is pretty self-explanatory. The sentiment is computer generated.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!! Thanks for stopping by, and I will see you again SOON!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

Here is the card and scrapling I made using the May SheetLoad of Cards Sketch. I went with Christmas, as I am trying to get started with my Holiday cards ahead of time for a change...LOL! All the Patterned Paper and Stamps are Stampin' Up. This angel is one of my faves, so she got first card rights. For the scraplings, I have decided to cut the rest of them in half and make the rest into gift tags. I dunno what I would use them for in this state, and gift tags are always needed.
When the June SLOC is released, I will do Christmas again, and keep ahead of the game...YAY! I hope you like....be sure to check out SheetLoad today!! You will love them~
Thanks for coming by, and Happy Mother's Day to you all!!

Just a little something....

I was off yesterday and today-AGAIN!! I am so sick of being sick!! This time it is an ear infection...good grief! Anyhoooo, I got a couple of cards made!!

This first one is for the Mojo Monday Sketch. I got the cool green PP from Gabby as part of a blog candy I won. It is so neat...shiney and matte combined! I thought the little crowns were perfect for Princess Anya...don't you? You can't see in the picture very well, but I have glittered her crown and sceptor, and mounted her on glitter paper, as well. It has been so overcast here for the past couple of weeks, getting a decent picture is difficult! Oh well, life goes on....
This next card is one that I made with a BooBoo....for some reason, I didn't like the tree when I did it...but I saved it. Lastnight I came across it, and decided to make a get well card out of it. I went with the brown and green color combo, and just layered it up.
Well, I have a couple more in the works....more challenges...I LOVE challenges, can ya tell? Have a great rest of the day, and thanks for stopping by!

Good Morning, Monday!

It is another dreary day here in NW Arkansas, after an entire rainy weekend!! I didn't manage much creating this weekend, I lost my mojo!! I finished off a couple swaps, and then made this little ditty. It is for Sketch Saturday #49. When I first started it, I was gonna make it standard sized, but it just didn't work, so I went ahead and did it 5 x 5 like the sketch calls for! This was super simple~it is all DP~from the MME Magnolia Pack.
I am keeping this short and sweet this moring, as I leave for work in half and hour, so if you have an questions, please feel free to ask.
Have a MARVY Monday, and I will see you all later! Thanks for stopping by...I will try to be a better blogger this week!!
